FCC became involved in the work in Chile when the Global Outreach Team met and fell in love with the

Kallestad Family back in 1997 and realized their vision and core values were the same as ours.

For 31 years their vision has been to plant churches in Chile, that would in turn plant churches in other

South American countries, that would train up leaders and send out teams of church planters to

Unreached People Groups in the world.

In 1989, they started the Oriente Church in their home in Maipu. That church now has national leaders;

has planted churches in Chile, Ecuador, and Peru; has built Christian schools in Chile and Ecuador; and

has sent missionaries to Iraq, Africa and Central Asia.

As part of our partnership of “working enyugados” with the Chilean churches each year FCC sends a

short-term team to work with Iberoamerican Ministries and to build relationships with our brothers and

sisters in Chile
