Arizona Reservation Ministries (ARM)
The name ARM is taken from Exodus 17:8-16. During a battle between the Israelites and the Amalekites, the Israelites were winning as longas Moses held up his arms. When he grew tired Aaron and Hur held his arms for him. ARM exists to partner with Apache churches and Christians.
ARM provides leadership training, children’s and youth programs (including the mobile youth ministry),
benevolence work, and emotional and physical support for Native pastors.
Providing homes on the reservation has been a way to bless Apache families and the members of short-
term teams who help with the construction of these homes.
FCC has supported the Lawrence family since they first went on the mission field on the Navajo
Reservation in 1993. Their oldest son, Jon and his wife Linda are now also ARM staff members.
FCC teams are sent to work with ARM each year. This gives our members an opportunity to work with
one of our partners without learning a new language or buying a passport. It also provides a true cross-
cultural experience as projects are carried out on the San Carlos Apache Reservation.
