What do you do for your body’s physical strength? Do you have a regular routine for working out, maybe just a few minutes each day to tone up your muscles enough to have the energy to get through the day? Your job, the housework and other chores you are involved in throughout the day is maybe all you feel you will need. Have you checked your energy level lately? Keeping a good eye on it can be a good indication of your body’s condition. Do some research on body work-outs. See what you can find that will be compatible with your particular body make-up, maybe for just a few minutes a day. If you do you will certainly see a difference before long. You’ll find yourself with more energy to accomplish what you would like to get done.
Paul says “…for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” (I Corinthians 3:17) We need to take care of it, and nourish it with the right kind of foods. Don’t find yourself living to eat, but rather eating to live. Be more selective in what you consume. Eat those things that will be best for your body, while not offending your taste buds. “For life is more than food.” (Luke 12:23) You’ll be better able and more willing to be productive in the kingdom of God.
Prayer for today: God, help me as I try to do better in the nourishing and taking care of this body. Give me a strong desire to make better decisions regarding my food intake and body training. Amen.
