“Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand all things.”

You wonder why the evil-minded do things that they should know is wrong and against the law. I suppose not everyone has the common sense or Biblical teaching that we may possess to actually tell the difference. The writer in Psalms puts it this way, “A senseless man has no knowledge; nor does a stupid man understand this: that when the wicked sprouted up like grass, and all did iniquity flourished, it was only that they might be destroyed forevermore. (Psalm 92:6-7)

It is a serious offense to intentionally break the laws of the land. John also adds his thoughts, “And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as his anointing teaches about all things, and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.” (1 John 2:27) When we have the knowledge of Jesus and try to live a life that is worthy of being a child of His, we will want to obey the laws of the land. There doesn’t seem to be any other option.

Unfortunately, there are those who don’t have the awareness or know the difference between right and wrong. They are too caught up in the things of the world and trying to get ahead—the wrong way. Stay focused on studying the Word, listen to what God is saying. Get to the point where doing the right thing will just come naturally. It will seem it’s the only thing to do.

Prayer for today: Help me, God, to be focused on what is good and the right thing to do always. Let it be a part of who I am, and what I’m made of and automatically do what pleases you.      Amen
