Serving the Church

There are many opportunities to serve God alongside the ministries at First Christian Church. From driving golf carts, to serving with the youth, to praying with our prayer team, or being an usher, there are so many ways to show the love of God in service we can't possibly describe them all in detail. To see the list of ministries that currently need volunteers, please click the link below. If you don't know where you might serve best, click the "spiritual gifts test" in the menu to the right, and the brief questionnaire will help highlight some of your spiritual gifts and give you a better idea where you might want to serve.  Click the link below to sign up to serve in one of our ministries, or if you need a little direction in where your spiritual gifts may be, click the graphic to the left and take our spiritual gifts test.

Serving the Community

First Christian  Church celebrates the privilege of serving others in our community! Jesus taught, "I have not come to be served, but to serve and give my life as a ransom" (Mark 10:45). You have God-given gifts for ministry and we want to encourage you to put it to good use!

Serving the World

The last command of Christ was, "Go make disciples of all nations." He commanded us to do this first in our own community, then in the surrounding area, and finally to the very ends of the earth. (Matthew 28:19, 20 & Acts 1:8). The leaders of First Christian have long believed in the necessity of doing our part in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ both in Yuma and around the world.

Watch the church calendar  and/or the FCC app for the regularly scheduled International Prayer and Dinners or IPads, where we gather for a simple meal, followed by a program about a specific area, finishing up with prayer for that specific area.

Our international ministry partners at IberoAmerican Ministries are seeking to share the love of God in some of the most troubled regions in the world, including Sierra Leone, Iraq and Chile. For more information on how you can support these initiatives please visit their website at
